Senior Java Software Engineer (US client - working hours 1 PM - 9 PM UA time) Offline

Job Description

- Experience designing and building large-scale, distributed, multi-threaded, high-concurrency enterprise server systems
- Strong English language verbal and written communication skills
- 4+ years of production coding experience in server-side Java (Core, Collections, Multithreading/Concurrency, Streams)
- Expertise in Service-oriented architectures, microservices, advanced database schemas, relational and non-relational databases, highly scalable and available web services

Nice to have:
- Experience with reactive paradigm (Vert.x) is a huge plus
- Experience with RDBMS (MySQL)), and NoSQL (Redis, Aerospike)
- Familiarity with HTTP(S) protocol, networking, CDN, Web performance factors
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and an ability to recognize the business and technical trade-offs between different solutions
- Experience with CI tools: Maven, Git, Jenkins, Terraform
- Experience working in a Linux environment
- Expertise in building software in an agile development environment
- Shifted working hours. Be present tilll 9pm EEST timezone

- Be a creative problem-solver who can draw on an array of expertise and technology to design and implement reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions to challenging problems
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and project plans
- Write production-ready code and tests that meet both system and business requirements
- Respond to feature requests, bug reports, performance issues, and ad-hoc questions
- Work collaboratively with multiple teams to deliver quality software
- Support operation of services in production
- Perform code reviews and design reviews
