Middle Backend Java Developer Offline

US Company is searching for a Middle Backend Java Developer to join a team working on microservices-based enterprise platforms. Interesting long-term project (3+ years), distributed team, full-time, official contract. Remote work, European business hours.

Brief project description:
The platform consists of cloud-hosted microservices and partially - legacy code, handling core business logic and integrations for delivery service across Europe. The role includes implementing new features, fixing bugs, and supporting production services under guidance from senior developers.

Main Requirements:

• Solid understanding of backend development and APIs: 5+ years
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot frameworks
• Willingness to learn microservices patterns and cloud practices
• Ability to follow coding standards, write tests, and maintain code quality

Tech Skills:

• REST API development, SQL/NoSQL databases
• Implementing new features and small-to-medium enhancements
• Unit and integration testing
• Working with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines

Programming Languages & Frameworks:

• Java 8–21: 5+ years
• Spring Boot / Quarkus: 5+ years
• SQL (PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra): 3+ years
• RabbitMQ, Kafka: 3+ years

Work conditions:

• Distributed team, remote work
• Scrum approach, 5–6 team members / team
• Full-time (40 hours per week), European business hours
