About the Project

Our client is a 2024 Gartner Cool Vendor in AI-Augmented Development, transforming how engineering teams document and understand code. Their developer-first platform integrates live, auto-synced documentation directly into the development workflow, helping teams modernize legacy codebases, onboard faster, and ship with confidence.
 

Required skills:

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development.
• Domain Experience: You have worked with Banking, FinTech, Telecom, or Public Sector projects. You understand how complex enterprise systems and workflows operate, including legacy software environments, modernization challenges, and the realities of compliance, regulations, security constraints, installation processes, and debugging in large organizations.
• English – Advanced: You are comfortable leading meetings and negotiating with native speakers (US/EU).
• Documentation Skills: You know how to write high-quality technical documentation and User Stories (not just vague descriptions).
• Proactive communication: You don’t wait for answers; you ask the right questions to clarify ambiguity.
   

Nice to have:

• Technical background (understanding of APIs, databases, or basic coding concepts).
   

Scope of work:

• Communicate with clients: conduct regular calls and workshops with stakeholders in the US and Europe to gather requirements, especially around legacy system behavior, compliance/security limitations, and modernization goals.
• Document requirements: transform high-level business needs into detailed technical specifications, capturing system dependencies, environment-specific constraints, and integration points typical of legacy architectures.
• Create User Stories: write clear, structured User Stories with precise Acceptance Criteria for the R&D team, reflecting both current legacy behavior and target modernization outcomes.
• Support the team: answer developers' questions during the sprint and ensure the implemented solution matches the client's request, including validating edge cases tied to legacy logic, installation flows, and debugging scenarios.
