Jira/Atlassian administrator
The Jira / Atlassian Administrator is responsible for the configuration, reliability, and continuous improvement of Proxet’s Atlassian ecosystem.
The role ensures that Jira and Confluence are aligned with business processes, securely configured, well-documented, and fully adopted across teams.
This position merge IT administration, process enablement, and stakeholder collaboration, ensuring stable day-to-day operation, efficient change management, and scalable process automation within Atlassian tools.
Responsibilities
- Administrate Jira Cloud, Jira Service Management
- Configure workflows, automations, custom fields, and integrations to support business process needs
- Configure projects schemes, issue types, screens, and permission schemes
- Manage users, groups, and license allocations
- Maintain access control and role-based permissions in line with security policies
- Handle L2/L3 service desk tickets related to access, configuration, and incidents
- Maintain application configuration and change management
- Monitor application health, usage, and user feedback
- Review vendor updates and feature releases
- Track and communicate release impacts to relevant teams
- Coordinate with business stakeholders to test and deploy new functionality
- Identify recurring issues and propose systemic fixes or automation opportunities
- Ensure documentation of configurations, system baselines, changes, and user guides
- Conduct onboarding sessions and user training
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and internal stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in application administration, IT operations, or business systems management
- Proven experience working with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, JSM, Asset Management, Rovo)
- Proven experience managing integrations between multiple SaaS systems (API or zappier/n8n)
- Strong understanding of any SaaS administration, access management, and workflow automation
- Understanding of data access controls, SSO, and identity management
- Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills
- Ability to document, train, and present to non-technical stakeholders
Nice-to-have Qualifications
- Familiarity with ITSM / ITIL practices (Incident, Change, Release Management)
- Experience with security and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
- Experience writing custom plugins for JIRA cloud
