Our client is a next-generation B2B financial services provider enabling businesses to make and receive global payments with speed, transparency, and lower costs. They're rapidly expanding across EMEA, APAC, and North America, serving clients from sports and entertainment to logistics and travel.

The Role

We're seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to lead the development of a complex financial platform supporting multi-currency payments and blockchain integrations. You'll architect scalable frontend solutions, mentor engineers, and build secure UIs for high-stakes financial workflows.

This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic thinking—you'll own the frontend architecture while collaborating closely with Product, Operations, and Compliance teams.

What You'll Build

• Complex financial UIs — treasury management, liquidity optimization, reconciliation workflows
• Operator tooling — multisig approvals, real-time monitoring dashboards, transaction routing
• Compliance workflows — AML/CFT controls, transaction monitoring, audit trails, regulatory reporting
• Blockchain integrations — payment rails, settlement infrastructure, wallet operations
• Security-first features — circuit breakers, anomaly detection, risk controls

Must-Have Requirements

Experience & Domain Knowledge:

• 10+ years software engineering, including 2+ years with blockchain/fintech platforms
• Deep fintech/regtech experience: payment systems, compliance, KYC/AML, treasury operations
• Understanding that UX correctness is as critical as system correctness in financial products

Technical Skills:

• Expert Angular (TypeScript) — large-scale apps, state management, complex forms, architecture
• Expert React.js — production codebases, modern hooks, performance optimization
• Strong backend — Node.js/Nest.js (required), event-driven systems, SQL/NoSQL
• Blockchain — EVM chains (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum), plus one alt L1 (Solana/Stellar/Algorand)
• Infrastructure — Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, APIs/webhooks
• Security — cryptography, key management (HSM/MPC), wallet infrastructure, secure coding

Financial Systems:

• Payment networks (SWIFT, ACH, SEPA, Faster Payments)
• Blockchain infrastructure providers (Infura, Alchemy, Fireblocks)
• Banking APIs, clearing/settlement, reconciliation

Leadership:

• Mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, set technical standards
• Strong communication — explain complex concepts to cross-functional teams
• Startup experience, comfortable with ambiguity and fast pace

Nice-to-Have:

• High-stakes operator tooling (approvals, permissions, incident management)
• Real-time UI patterns (websockets, streaming updates)
• FX markets, liquidity management knowledge
• Stablecoin experience

Compensation & Details

• Salary: up to €104,000 per year
• Location: Belgrade (Serbia) or Warsaw (Poland)
• Work model: Hybrid
• Employment: Full-time, contractor arrangement
