QA Engineer to $2000

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough regression, functional and smoke testing to ensure that new features and enhancements do not negatively impact existing functionalities;
  • Creating test cases based on specifications and execute them to identify and report defects;
  • Working closely with the development team to understand requirements and provide timely feedback on issues;
  • Maintaining detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports;
  • Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects through their lifecycle using a bug tracking system;
  • Communicating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of testing objectives.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC;
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams;
  • Knowledge of SQL and basic database querying for test validation;
  • Experience writing and maintaining test cases, checklists, test plans;
  • Ability to analyze logs, results, and detect root causes of failures;
  • Ability to accelerate testing processes by leveraging AI tools (e.g., generating test scripts, test data, or documentation using AI).
  • Practical experience with automation testing using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium (UI automation) would be a plus;
  • API automation experience using Postman and/or REST Assured would be a plus;
  • Experience with performance or load testing (e.g., JMeter, k6) would be a plus;
  • Experience with test reporting dashboards (Allure, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.) would be a plus;
  • Understanding of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and test execution in cloud pipelines would be a plus;
  • Familiarity with best practices of Clean Code and test automation architecture would be a plus.
