Senior CFML (ColdFusion Markup Language) Developer

Project Overview
Our US-based client in the retail industry is launching a long-term project in the marketplace/e-commerce domain. The engagement is planned for approximately one year with a possibility of extension. The goal is to enhance and support an existing retail platform that serves thousands of users and integrates with multiple external services.

Role: Senior CFML Developer
Engagement Length: ~12 months

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize applications built with ColdFusion/CFML
• Implement new platform features and business logic for a retail marketplace
• Refactor legacy CFML code to improve performance and scalability
• Design and extend RESTful APIs and integrations with external systems
• Debug complex issues and provide long-term technical solutions
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical planning

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with ColdFusion and CFML
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming in CFML
• Experience with SQL databases (MySQL, MSSQL, or PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge of web services, REST/SOAP integrations
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience working with legacy systems and modernization projects
• Git version control and collaborative development workflows
• Upper-intermediate English level for daily communication
