Azure Solution Architect / Azure Tech Lead (Wearables and Health Data Platform / Azure-First) Offline

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior Azure expert - Solution Architect / Tech Lead to lead the design and delivery of a white-label, multi-tenant Wearables (Consumer Data) Module for a global,  AI-first health platform.

The role owns architecture, technical direction, and long-term sustainability, with a strong focus on Azure-managed services, low operational overhead, and future AI-ready design. 

Key Responsibilities

• Design an Azure-native, cloud-first architecture for a standalone wearables data microservice
• Lead architectural decisions across ingestion, normalization, storage, APIs, and security
• Design ingestion for HealthKit and Google Health Connect, including OAuth-based user consent
• Define canonical wearable data models (time-series, raw vs derived metrics, validation)
• Ensure multi-tenant and white-label support (tenant isolation, client configuration)
• Design secure, auditable, compliant data flows (encryption, access logging, data deletion)
• Leverage Azure-managed services to minimise DevOps effort and long-term staffing needs
• Guide backend, data, and DevOps engineers and review technical outputs
• Produce clear architecture, API, and handover documentation

Required Experience & Skills

• 8+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years in Azure-native system design
• Deep hands-on Azure experience, including:
  • Azure Functions / Container Apps
  • Event Hub / Service Bus
  • Azure Data Lake / Synapse / Data Factory (or equivalents)
  • Azure API Management
  • Azure AD / Managed Identities
  • Azure Monitor / Application Insights
• Strong backend background (.NET/C# or equivalent)
• Experience with event-driven systems, time-series data, and API-first design
• Experience building multi-tenant, white-label SaaS platforms
• Strong understanding of security, privacy, and consent-driven data access
• Experience with wearables or consumer health data
• Ready to work with Australian clients and conduct early meetings

Nice to Have

• Proven experience as Azure expert / Solution Architect / Tech Lead on production systems
• Experience working with regulated or sensitive data domains
• Familiarity with AI-ready data platforms (AI logic itself is out of scope)
