General QA Engineer

YOUR IMPACT:
- Plan, design, and execute functional and non-functional tests for Shopify and e-commerce features.
- Propose ideas and Automate new test-cases.
- Test new features, maintain existing functionality, and validate end-to-end user flows, checkout processes, and payment integrations.
- Verify integrations between multiple internal teams and external systems.
- Identify defects, create detailed bug reports, and participate in weekly release cycles.
- Maintain and update test documentation and project specifications (checklists, test cases, specifications).
- Perform UI and backend (Shopify) testing.
- Work with analytics tools to verify correct tracking and event setup.
- Participate in sprint planning, task estimation, and requirement clarification sessions.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, Designers, and QA Automation Engineer to improve overall quality and processes.
ABOUT YOU:
- 3+ years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer, preferably within e-commerce projects.
- Hands-on experience with Shopify (Storefront + Admin) or similar e-commerce platforms.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce business logic and user behavior.
- Proven ability to design, write, and execute Test Automation scripts.
- Experience with JavaScript (JS) / TypeScript (TS) for test development.
- Direct experience with the Playwright automation framework.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and practical experience with tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong application of programming principles and design patterns (SOLID, Page Object Model/POM) to ensure code maintainability.
- Proficiency in optimizing tests using fixtures and configuring parallel test execution.
- Ability to configure clear, actionable test reports and efficiently debug issues based on failure logs.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and browser DevTools.
- Confident working with Google Analytics / GTM.
- Experience writing clear and detailed bug reports and test cases.
- Excellent attention to detail, accountability, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Initiative and proactive attitude toward improving QA processes.
