Senior Django Developer

We're hiring a full-time Django developer to help with rebuild of our application. We are changing our internal application from Symfony to Django, and need someone to assist with the rebuild. Currently there is 1 developer on the rebuild, and we looking to hire an additional Django developer to speed up developement.

We are looking for a developer that doesn't just do developement, but is also a product person who understands the business logic behind tasks, and how users will be using it. Also will help make architecture decisions.

Our product (BookingAgentInfo.com) connects businesses with celebrities and influencers for endorsements, brand partnerships, and event bookings.

REQUIREMENTS: 

Must Have: 

- 5+ years Django/Python experience 

- Built systems from scratch (show us 2-3 examples) 

- Data migration experience (800K+ records preferred)

- Can work independently with clear requirements

- Excellent English communication (work with non-technical stakeholders) 

- Ownership mindset (this is YOUR system long-term) 

- 4+ hours overlap with US Eastern) 

- Must be upper-intermediate English speaker 

Strong Plus: 

- Experience rebuilding legacy systems 

- Django Admin customization expertise 

- API integration experience (Spotify, social platforms) 

- Interest in AI/ML (future roadmap) 

- Have owned a codebase long-term before 

- Comfortable being "the developer" on a project 

- Experience with Symfony is a plus but not required
