Business Analyst (ERP for Maritime Industry) to $2000

About us

 

We build a SaaS ERP for the maritime industry. Our platform helps ship operators manage fleet data, equipment, planned maintenance (PMS), tasks, documents, vendors and purchasing.

We’re a small product team with fast decisions and minimal bureaucracy. The BA role has real influence on product direction and quality.

 

 

What you will do

  • Elicit, analyze and document business and system requirements.
  • Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules and scenarios.
  • Model as-is / to-be processes (BPMN or lightweight diagrams).
  • Support feature decomposition and backlog grooming with Product/Tech Leads.
  • Define basic data structures (entities/fields/relations) for new features.
  • Work on integration requirements: mapping, validation rules, sync scenarios.
  • Clarify edge cases and non-functional requirements.
  • Participate in UAT and help ensure requirements are implemented correctly.

 

Requirements

  • 2+ years as Business Analyst / Product BA / System Analyst.
  • Strong skills in requirements documentation (user stories, AC, use cases).
  • Understanding of web systems and REST API.
  • Solid analytical thinking, attention to detail.
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence (or similar).
  • English level sufficient for documentation and team communication.

 

 

Nice to have

  • Experience with ERP, PMS, procurement or vendor management.
  • Maritime domain knowledge.
  • Basic SQL.
  • Experience describing integrations and synchronization logic.
  • Miro/Figma for process or UI collaboration.

    Requirements + AC + simple data/process outline.

  2. Intro call (20–30 min)

    Discuss your solution, assumptions, scope and edge cases.

  3. Final interview (optional, 30–45 min)

    With Product/Tech Lead.
