Data Developer (Data Warehousing / Data Vault 2.0)

Our client, a major international energy enterprise in Germany, is expanding its agile data warehousing team and is looking for five experienced Data Developers. You will work within a virtual data warehouse environment built on Data Vault 2.0, consolidating data from numerous source systems to support financial reporting, commercial operations, marketing activities, and GDPR compliance. This is a fully remote nearshore/offshore assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data models within a modern data warehousing environment.
• Work closely with analysts and stakeholders to transform business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL-based data pipelines for performance and cost efficiency.
• Implement and extend GDPR Article 15 processes, including designing and executing data deletion procedures in Snowflake across 20+ integrated source systems.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and best practices aligned with Data Vault 2.0 principles.
• Support continuous improvement of data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in data warehousing and data architecture.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Practical experience with Data Vault 2.0.
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt (Core), and Airflow.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
• Excellent communication skills in English (C1).
• Ability to work independently in a distributed, agile team.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the energy sector.
• Familiarity with GDPR operationalization beyond Article 15.
• Experience integrating 20+ heterogeneous data sources.
• Knowledge of performance tuning in Snowflake.
