Middle+ Automation QA Engineer (Java / Selenium / API Testing)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Automation QA Engineer to join our team and take ownership of automated testing for web, API, and backend systems. You will design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate closely with developers and product teams in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and manage test cases using XRay.

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and backend systems.

- Implement automated UI tests using Selenium and Cucumber in IntelliJ.

- Develop and execute automated API tests (REST).

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins).

- Set up, improve, and maintain automated test frameworks with Java.

- Execute automated tests in CI/CD environments with Git, GitLab Runner, Jenkins.

- Conduct load and performance testing using JMeter.

- Manage tasks and defects in Jira.

- Evaluate test results and prepare detailed test reports.

- Contribute to expanding and improving test environments in Kubernetes.

- Participate in defining and implementing the overall test strategy.

- Maintain documentation and support knowledge sharing (e.g., Confluence).

- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA engineers in agile Scrum teams.

Requirements

- 3+ years of experience as an Automation QA Engineer.

- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, Cucumber, REST API testing, and test automation frameworks.

- Solid knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins).

- Experience with JMeter for performance testing.

- Familiarity with Kubernetes environments.

- Experience working with Jira, XRay, and Confluence.

- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.

- Good communication skills and experience working in agile teams.

- Upper-intermediate English or higher.

Nice to Have

- Experience with microservices architecture.

- Background in backend testing or DevOps practices.

- Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
