DevOps Engineer - Production Infrastructure
Default Value is an outsourcing company with 15+ years of experience, continuously evolving and now strengthening our DevOps direction. We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and highly skilled DevOps Engineer who isn’t afraid of complex challenges, enjoys optimizing processes, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
We need someone who thrives on bringing order to complex environments and takes pride in creating clarity from ambiguity.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 4+ years managing production infrastructure;
- Experience taking ownership of existing infrastructure with varying documentation levels;
- Knowledge of virtualization solutions, application isolation and containerization solutions;
- Knowledge of programming languages (bash/sh, Python appreciated);
- Experience with creating and managing Linux-based infrastructures (Ubuntu, CentOS);
- Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures and tools;
- Good knowledge of Apache/Nginx/etc. web servers;
- Experience with HTTP traffic routing, content delivery;
- Database performance tuning;
- Virtualization tools (mainly Proxmox);
- Containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes);
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins);
- Ability to write clean human-readable documentation;
- Ability to work with legacy infrastructure;
- Security/gateway tools (e.g., Bastion, OpenVPN, WireGuard)
- SSO concepts and tools (e.g., LDAP, Authentik);
- Email infrastructure handling (mostly SMTP, DNS configuration);
- Experience with logging and logs analysis tools (ELK stack).
Will be a plus having experience with:
- System performance monitoring tools (New Relic, Nagios, Zabbix, PagerDuty etc.);
- Experience in web application development;
- Experience with cloud hosting services like AWS, Digital Ocean, etc.;
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive infrastructure audit, standardize and enhance existing documentation to production standards;
- Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, and group policies;
- Set up resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly;
- Set up application servers, assist in application migration;
- Create and support development/test/production environments, build CI/CD pipelines;
- Interact with the other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.
