Senior IT Project Manager (Web3)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Strategy:
  • Design detailed project plans that align with client needs and corporate objectives.
  • Implement tailored product planning that reflect the company's goals and client expectations, ensuring adaptability across multiple projects.
  • Create and implement product strategies for new projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Optimize existing strategies to improve project efficiency and meet evolving client needs.
  • Monitoring of project financial indicators.

 

Milestone and Timeline Management:

  • Set precise milestones and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring they align with project objectives.
  • Conduct regular sprint planning, review, and retrospective - meetings to ensure progress is continuously tracked and timelines remain on course.
  • Reassess project schedules in response to changing requirements and resource allocations.

 

Technical Oversight:

  • Provide partial technical direction, ensuring adherence to architecture standards and technical specifications.
  • Facilitate technical discussions to preempt and resolve challenges, unblock teams, and enhance delivery speed.

 

Client Interaction and Satisfaction:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, giving them regular progress updates and effectively managing expectations.
  • Lead client meetings to gather actionable feedback and translate it into practical improvements.
  • Deliver project updates to clients, clearly articulating progress and any modifications.

 

Cross-Project Management:

  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring seamless transitions and consistent output.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-project collaboration to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice discussions using wikis, internal blogs, or knowledge base software like Notion or Confluence.

 

Workflow Optimization:

  • Establish workflows tailored to each project's specific requirements, utilizing best practices and suitable tools.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives, refining processes to remove inefficiencies, eliminate bottlenecks, and enhance delivery speed.
  • Design systems that streamline project tracking, making project progress clearer and more transparent for the entire team.

 

Team Collaboration and Communication:

  • Foster a culture of transparent communication using regular team meetings, async updates, and collaboration platforms like Slack.
  • Empower team autonomy by providing clear objectives and guidelines, using tools like OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) or SMART goals.
  • Facilitate a structured approach to conflict resolution, ensuring effective collaboration and quick resolution of interpersonal challenges.

 

Risk Management and Reporting:

  • Anticipate risks early on and establish mitigation strategies to reduce the impact on project timelines and outcomes.
  • Provide the CEO and CTO with comprehensive reports on project status, risks, and resource needs.

 

You will ideally have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field; or a background in Software Engineering.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment, preferably in Web3/Blockchain Technology.
  • Servant leadership style, excellent communication, and high EQ.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, dynamic and collaborative team environment.
  • 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience working for a distributed organization who value async communication. Deep understanding of agile methodologies and their application in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in, and passion for, blockchain technology.
