Scope / Area of Responsibility
Creates, codes, and improves server-side applications and databases which, when combined with front-end code, help build a functional and seamless experience for the end user. Learns industry trends, implements back-end processes and code, and collaborates with the team to design better overall solutions.

Key Tasks
 

• Writes and maintains server-side code using NestJS and TypeScript
• Analyzes data and code to troubleshoot issues and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborates with front-end developers and other team members to create cohesive code and enhance user experience
• Integrates third-party APIs and AI services into applications
• Participates in code reviews and follows best practices
• Documents code and technical processes

• Follows a path of continuous learning to stay updated on best practices and new technologies

   

Core Competencies
Required:
 

• Back-end programming languages (JavaScript / TypeScript)
• Knowledge of NestJS framework
• Understanding of REST API development
• Basic knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL/MongoDB)
• Version control with Git
• Ability to work with GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or other AI agents or IDE

• Problem-solving and analytical thinking

   

Nice to have:
 

• Understanding of AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini)
• Experience with Express.js
• Knowledge of caching mechanisms (Redis)
• Familiarity with Docker
• Understanding of microservices architecture

• Experience with message queues (Bull, RabbitMQ)

   

Education / Studies / Work Experience
 

• Minimum of 6-12 months of commercial experience with NestJS
• Previous experience in software development

• Portfolio of completed projects
