Atlassian Engineer

We are looking for an Atlassian Engineer to join our teams!

Requirements:

- 2–4 years of hands-on experience administering Jira Data Center.
- Experience with configuring workflows, schemes, screens, custom fields, permissions, and issue types.
- Experience with Confluence Data Center: user/space permissions, templates, integrations.
- Proficiency with Groovy and ScriptRunner (validators, post-functions, listeners, console scripts).
- Ability to write custom scripts for maintenance tasks and workflow logic.
- Understanding of REST APIs and experience creating small automation scripts.
- Strong experience with third-party apps for Data Center (ScriptRunner, Insight, Tempo, BigPicture).
- Experience in gathering requirements, designing optimal solutions, and documenting configurations.
- Understanding of Jira permissions, global permissions, and best practices.
- Familiarity with project management frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
- English level - Intermediate.

Responsibilities:

- Atlassian Product Administration – Manage and configure Jira, Confluence, including projects, workflows, and custom fields.
- User & Permission Management – Handle user provisioning, group roles, and access permissions to ensure security and compliance.
- Workflow & Automation Optimization – Develop and optimize Jira automation rules, workflows, and custom scripts (if using ScriptRunner).
- Security & Compliance – Enforce best practices for user access, data retention, and permission schemes to align with security policies.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing – Maintain and update internal documentation on configurations, automation, and best practices.
- Training & User Guidance – Conduct training sessions or create guides to improve end-user adoption and efficiency with Atlassian tools.
- Collaboration with Teams – Work closely with developers, project managers, and IT teams to align Atlassian tools with business processes.
- Process Improvement & Optimization – Continuously evaluate existing configurations, automation, and workflows to improve efficiency.
- Integration Management – Ensure proper configuration and maintenance of integrations with third-party tools (e.g., Slack, GitHub, SSO).
- Workflow & Permission Audits – Regularly review and refine permission schemes, workflows, and automation rules to enhance system efficiency.
- Customization & Scripting – Develop and maintain custom scripts (if using ScriptRunner) to extend Jira and Confluence functionality.
- Configuration Maintenance – Ensure existing configurations, workflows, and permissions remain aligned with business needs and user requirements.
