Lead BI Analyst

Gypsy is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst Lead to head the analytics stream connecting player behavior, traffic performance, and product insights.
This role is for someone who thinks in numbers, sees patterns in data, and can translate analytics into clear business and product actions.

🧭 What makes you a great match:

  • 4+ years of experience in data analytics, with at least 2 years in iGaming;
  • 1+ year of team management experience;
  • Deep understanding of traffic, conversion, LTV, retention, and monetization metrics;
  • Hands-on experience with SQL (PostgreSQL / BigQuery) and Python (Pandas, NumPy);
  • Confident use of BI tools — Tableau / Superset / Looker Studio;
  • Strong understanding of the player lifecycle and user journey analytics;
  • Proven leadership experience — setting priorities, mentoring, and managing analysts;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to deliver insights effectively across business and product teams.

✨ Nice to have:

  • Experience with machine learning–based analytics (e.g., churn prediction, player segmentation);
  • Understanding of affiliate tracking systems and multi-operator analytics;
  • Familiarity with game economy principles — bonus mechanics, RTP, and game-level metrics;
  • Knowledge of ETL / DWH processes (Trino, Airflow, Iceberg, etc.).

📋 Your daily adventures:

  • Lead the analytics stream focused on traffic, player behavior, and product performance;
  • Analyze acquisition sources, affiliate performance, conversion rates, and player LTV to identify growth opportunities and inefficiencies;
  • Examine player engagement, retention, and monetization patterns to recommend product improvements that enhance user experience and revenue;
  • Build end-to-end visibility from traffic to gameplay and payments, linking acquisition quality to downstream monetization;
  • Conduct experiment and A/B test analyses for product and marketing teams, evaluating the impact of bonuses, features, and onboarding flows;
  • Ensure data accuracy across platforms (operators, back offices, analytics tools); validate tracking setups, event accuracy, and funnel integrity;
  • Oversee the creation of dashboards in Tableau / Superset reflecting key traffic, product, and financial metrics;
  • Collaborate closely with DWH, product, and affiliate teams to align KPIs, prioritize initiatives, and standardize data definitions;
  • Mentor analysts within the stream, establish best practices, review deliverables, and ensure high-quality data storytelling;
  • Present findings and actionable insights to stakeholders, transforming complex analytics into clear business narratives.
