Data Modeler

On behalf of our Client, a well-established financial institution from the Caribbean region, Mobilunity is looking for a Senior Data Modeler for a long-term engagement.
 

Our Client is the largest bank in the Caribbean region that serves 14 countries/territories. The aim is to transform this organization from a traditional bank into a new era of fintech, leveraging the cutting-edge of current fintech offerings.

Responsibilities:
 

• Develop and maintain canonical data models and entity definitions for the Customer Information File (CIF)
• Produce Logical (LDM) and Physical (PDM) data models using preferred industry tools
• Enforce naming conventions, keys, normalization, and modeling standards
• Map source systems to canonical entities and support the creation of API and event schemas
• Collaborate with Data Governance on data glossary, lineage, metadata, and governance practices
• Support engineering teams on performance considerations (indexing, partitioning, optimization)

Requirements:
 

• Strong experience with modeling tools (ER/Studio, ERwin, or similar)
• Solid understanding of UML/ER modeling methodologies and SQL
• Knowledge of BIAN service domains and canonical modeling concepts
• Awareness of modern data platform components:
  AWS (Glue, S3, Lambda, MSK/Kafka, Redshift, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch, Airflow)
• Understanding of MDM/ODS design principles, reference data, and master data modeling
• Experience translating data models into practical API and integration contracts
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher
