Outbound Activation Specialist

We are looking for an energetic and persuasive Outbound Activation Specialist to contact and engage customers who have purchased our software but have not initiated activation. Your role is to proactively reach out, explain the value and activation process, handle objections, and schedule or conduct activation sessions. Once connected to the customer’s computer, you will hand the activation over to our Sales team for completion.
This position is key in ensuring customers move forward in their journey and do not remain inactive after purchase.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make high-volume outbound calls to leads who purchased our products (100+)
  • Clearly explain software activation steps and benefits
  • Identify customer needs, objections, and concerns — and handle them professionally
  • Persuade and guide customers to continue the activation process
  • Schedule follow-ups and callback times if customer isn’t ready
  • Connect to the customer’s computer for activation setup
  • Transition customer to the Sales team for final activation and upsell
  • Keep accurate call logs, notes, statuses, and scheduling information in CRM
  • Maintain consistent productivity, conversion, and follow-up KPIs
  • Deliver a high-quality customer experience on every interaction

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and persuasion skills
  • Confidence and resilience in handling cold leads & objections
  • Ability to build trust quickly and guide non-technical users
  • Excellent spoken English (clear and professional tone)
  • Strong time-management & multitasking abilities
  • Tech-savvy — comfortable navigating systems, remote connection tools, CRM platforms
  • Ability to follow structured processes and scripts, while tailoring conversation to customer
  • High productivity orientation — comfortable making high call volumes

     

Would be a plus:

  • B2C outbound calling or telemarketing (1+ year experience in outbound calling, telesales, activation, retention, or similar role)
  • Experience with remote screen-control tools (TeamViewer, AnyDesk, etc.)
  • Experience in activation, onboarding or retention roles
