Project Manager (Prop Trading)

Role Overview

Build and run the operating system of our arbitrage team: people, processes, and focus. Turn ideas into working strategies and a motivated, reliable team.
 

Who You’ll Work With

Chief of Prop Trading, Trading Strategies Team Leads, and C-level stakeholders.
 

Responsibilities (Strategy & Operations)

  • Hiring & onboarding: hire with the recruiter, set a repeatable pipeline, and create a fast ramp-up playbook.
  • 1:1s & communication: run regular check-ins and clear async updates to keep everyone aligned.
  • University outreach & lectures: work with faculties and clubs to build a steady stream of juniors and interns.
  • Team monitoring & performance: track weekly outputs, spot risks early, and keep owners accountable.
  • Motivation & bonuses: set simple, measurable rules linked to team OKRs; keep it transparent and fair.
  • Vacations & days off: ensure coverage and protect deadlines.
  • Team reports: review weekly strategy updates, keep a helicopter view, align priorities, and escalate blockers fast.
  • Capital allocation: handle requests when capital is missing, assess risk/ROI, coordinate approvals, and track use.
  • Access & permissions: maintain a clear roles/permissions map; enable quick on/off-boarding and audits.
  • Role clarity: keep a lightweight RACI and update it as we scale and strategies change.
  • Support Team Leads: standardize checklists/runbooks, remove operational bottlenecks, and keep the team unblocked.
  • C-level calls (arbitrage): coordinate agenda, notes, and decisions with the Chief of Prop Trading.
     

Challenges You’ll Tackle

  • Add focus and resources to the prop desk.
  • Reduce demotivation and excessive time off with clear goals, cadence, and incentives.
  • Create one clear strategy with sharp operational priorities and ownership.
  • Balance replacing underperformers with hiring and ramping new talent; build a solid hiring + onboarding flow.
     

What We’re Looking For

  • Ownership, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Structured thinking, planning ahead, and seeing dependencies.
  • Ability to dive deep and handle nuance.
  • Bonus: deep experience in Web3 with prop/MM/arbitrage workflows.
