About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead Balancify’s engineering organization and shape the future of our crypto-banking platform — powering acquiring, payouts, and corporate card solutions for modern businesses.

As CTO, you’ll drive our technical strategy, scale high-load infrastructure, and ensure world-class security, reliability, and performance.
You’ll be both a strategic thinker and a hands-on architect, building systems that define how digital finance works tomorrow.

What You’ll Do

• Define and execute the technology vision and roadmap for Balancify.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team (Frontend, Backend, DevSecOps, QA, Data).
• Oversee architecture design, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and cost optimization.
• Implement best practices in DevSecOps, CI/CD, IaC, observability, and automation.
• Coordinate integrations with banks, payment networks, and blockchain providers.
• Maintain high security and compliance standards (PCI DSS, SOC 2).
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Tech Stack

Frontend: Next.js, React, WebSockets, advanced state management, SSR/CSR optimization
Backend: TypeScript, NestJS, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Docker, microservices
Infrastructure: AWS (IAM, VPC, KMS, Secrets Manager), Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry
Domain: FinTech, Crypto Banking, Realtime Payments, Corporate Cards

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, including 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong command of TypeScript / Node.js / NestJS.
• Proven experience designing and scaling high-load, secure systems on AWS.
• Deep understanding of architecture patterns, security, and compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, SOC2).
• Ability to align technical strategy with business goals and product vision.
• English proficiency: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Web3 / Blockchain integrations.
• Background in FinTech or regulated industries.
• Experience building R&D teams and establishing long-term technical standards.
