Joomla engineer for Legacy project

Binary Future is looking for an experienced Joomla Developer to join our remote team for a short-term project.
If you’re comfortable working with legacy environments and have strong PHP/MySQL expertise — we’d love to hear from you!
 

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain and improve an existing Joomla-based platform.
• Work with legacy code (PHP 7, MySQL 8, Adminer, jQuery).
• Debug, optimize, and refactor existing functionality.
• Implement small UI/UX updates and ensure responsive performance.
• Collaborate with the internal team to ensure stable delivery.
   

Requirements:

• 2+ years of commercial experience with Joomla CMS.
• Strong knowledge of PHP 7 and MySQL 8.
• Familiarity with jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience working with Adminer or similar database tools.
• Understanding of legacy codebases and ability to document changes clearly.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.

• Experience migrating or refactoring old PHP projects to modern stacks.
• Familiarity with Linux environments or cPanel hosting setups.
