DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote (Global)
Employment Type: Part Time (20-30 Hours per Month)

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer with proven experience in managing and optimizing Bitrix24 On-Premise infrastructure. 

The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our internal systems and client-facing platforms, with a strong emphasis on automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
 

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Technical Operations Manager and cross-functional teams to maintain seamless deployment pipelines, ensure infrastructure security, and achieve high system availability. 

Strong proficiency in English (C1+) and the ability to document processes clearly are essential for effective collaboration within our fully remote, international environment.
 

Key Responsibilities

Bitrix24 Infrastructure Management

• Configure, maintain, and optimize Bitrix24 self-hosted environments (on-premise or cloud)
• Manage integrations, custom modules, and API-based workflows within Bitrix24
• Monitor system performance, uptime, and security compliance

CI/CD & Automation

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for internal tools and Bitrix24-related services
• Automate deployment, backup, and recovery processes
• Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar

Monitoring & Incident Response

• Configure and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and apply preventive measures
• Maintain comprehensive system documentation and incident logs

Security & Compliance

• Ensure secure configuration of servers, databases, and Bitrix24 components
• Collaborate with the COO and Technical Operations Manager on audit-ready documentation
• Support GDPR and data protection compliance across infrastructure

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with developers, and operations teams to align infrastructure with sprint goals
• Document infrastructure, deployment processes, and technical decisions in English
   

Requirements

Must-Have:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or System Administration
• Proven experience with Bitrix24 self-hosted infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of Linux server environments (Ubuntu, CentOS)
• Hands-on experience with Docker, NGINX, MySQL/MariaDB, PHP, and Redis
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• English proficiency at C1 level or higher (written and spoken)
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Hetzner, DigitalOcean)
   

Nice-to-Have:

• Familiarity with Bitrix24 REST API and webhook-based automation
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks
• Experience in agile, remote-first team environments
