Snowflake Consultant (hourly-based)

As part of the discovery and estimation phase, we are looking for an experienced Snowflake Consultant to support our technical and pre-sales teams in analyzing the client’s environment, identifying optimization opportunities, and preparing a solid technical and financial proposal.

The goal is to perform a comprehensive discovery and estimation to define the best cost-efficient and scalable Snowflake architecture, along with actionable recommendations for performance improvements and edition-level optimization.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the discovery process: review existing Snowflake setup, workloads, and usage patterns.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities — including warehouse sizing, storage, compute credits usage, caching strategies, and edition-level upgrades/downgrades.
• Propose architectural improvements that enhance scalability, performance, and financial efficiency.
• Define an implementation roadmap and contribute to the technical part of the RFP response.
• Prepare detailed estimation documents (time, scope, cost, and impact).
• Collaborate with WeSoftYou’s internal engineering and pre-sales teams to shape the final proposal.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience working with Snowflake (architecture, administration, performance tuning, cost control).
• Proven track record in Snowflake cost optimization or infrastructure efficiency projects.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, query performance tuning, and compute/storage cost drivers.
• Experience with monitoring and optimization tools (e.g., Snowflake Usage Views, Snowsight, Sigma, dbt, or similar).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Excellent communication and documentation skills — ability to translate findings into clear, actionable insights.
• Availability for hourly-based engagement (5–15 hours/week).

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience contributing to RFPs or pre-sales estimation for data platform projects.
• Familiarity with BI and reporting tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
