Senior/Lead Data Engineer (Azure)

The client is a private equity fund willing to develop a data gathering and analysis platform

Requirements:

Experience:

• 8+ years in data engineering
• Leading data engineering teams (nice to have)
• Deep expertise in designing and operating large-scale Azure data solutions

Technical Skills:
• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory for ingestion and transformation pipelines
• Proficiency with Azure Cosmos DB (SQL/Gremlin API) for operational data stores
• Advanced SQL and Python for ETL and analytics workflows
• Familiarity with Azure Event Grid, Functions, and Data Lake Storage
• Skilled in data security: Key Vault, RBAC, managed identities

Would be a plus:
• Power BI dataset creation and governance practices
• Experience with Azure ML or Azure OpenAI Service for data enrichment

Soft Skills:
• Leadership, mentoring, analytical thinking, communication, strategic planning
