UI / Graphic Designer (Project-Based, Unity CCG / Autobattler)
We’re building a Unity game in the CCG / autobattler genre and are looking for a UI / Graphic Designer to create the game’s interface, visual style, and production-ready assets.
Responsibilities
- Define the UI visual language and create a lightweight style guide (colors, typography, components).
- Design key screens and flows: main menu, lobby, deck/collection, shop, battle HUD, settings, onboarding.
- Create in-game assets: card frames, icons, badges, rarity/affinity indicators, overlays, simple FX-ready elements.
- Prepare Unity-ready exports (atlases/sprites, slicing, naming conventions), collaborate on implementation with the dev team.
- Iterate quickly based on playtest feedback and UX constraints specific to CCG/autobattlers (readability, hierarchy, states).
Maintain consistency and performance-friendly assets for multiple resolutions.
Requirements
- 3+ shipped or portfolio-ready game UI pieces (preferably strategy/CCG/autobattler or systems-heavy games).
- Strong skills in Figma and Adobe (Photoshop/Illustrator); ability to deliver clean, organized files.
- Practical understanding of Unity UI (uGUI/UI Toolkit basics, slicing/exporting, pixel density, anchors).
- Solid grasp of UX for complex interfaces (tooltips, states, inventory/decks, progression, economy).
- Ability to create crisp 2D assets/icons that read well at small sizes.
Nice to have
- Motion/interaction basics (micro-animations, transitions).
Experience with VFX handoff (masks, layers, blend modes).
What we offer
- Project-based contract (timeline and scope to be agreed with you).
- Close collaboration with the Game Designer, Art/Tech leads, and Unity developers.
- Flexible hours and remote work.
Please send:
- Portfolio links highlighting game UI (ideally CCG/autobattler or similar).
- A short note on your availability (hours per week) and monthly rate (USD).
- Tools you use (Figma, Adobe, others) and examples of Unity-ready exports you’ve delivered.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to talk and walk you through the current prototype and priorities.
