Data Analyst to $3000 Offline

The Data Science team at Noom (www.noom.com) is seeking a mid-level Data Analyst Contractor to help operationalize and expose key business data for dashboarding and reporting needs across the company.

The Data Science team currently consists of 4 other BI Engineers, who work together to tackle a variety of projects each week. 
 

β€œProduct” at Noom covers all their in-app programs and features (including Noom Med!), as well as our Growth efforts (i.e., how they position and price their different product offerings!). 
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipelines & Aggregation (β‰ˆ80%)

    - Locate, clean, and aggregate data from multiple sources (Redshift, Databricks, spreadsheets, etc.)

    - Design and operationalize automated data pipelines for consistent delivery of data to dashboards

    - Ensure data quality, consistency, and documentation across systems

  • Dashboard Development (β‰ˆ20%)

    - Build and maintain dashboards in Looker (or similar BI tools)

    - Translate raw data into structured, business-friendly datasets ready for visualization

    - Collaborate with stakeholders to define key data requirements and metrics

  • Cross-team Collaboration

    - Partner with the Data Science and Engineering teams to align on schema, definitions, and sources

    - Support internal teams by improving access to reliable, aggregated data
     

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL (data modeling, joins, window functions, optimization)
  • Solid experience with Python for data transformation and pipeline automation
  • Familiarity with Looker or another BI visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Mode)
  • Understanding of ETL / ELT workflows and principles of data quality
  • Comfortable working across different data environments (Redshift, Databricks, Google Sheets, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail and sense-checking skills before sharing data
  • Strong English level: ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
