Senior Salesforce Developer

About the Client & Platform

Our client runs a behavioral health technology platform designed to help healthcare organizations detect risks early, engage individuals with the right resources, and empower care teams with actionable insights.
Salesforce serves as the core operational backbone, supporting enrollment, care coordination, partner workflows, and reporting.
The team is now expanding and strengthening the platform to enhance reliability, security, and interoperability, while minimizing manual processes and reducing technical debt.

Your Role on the Project

You’ll join as a Senior Salesforce Developer, fully integrated into the client’s engineering organization.
Your primary focus will be maintaining and evolving the Salesforce ecosystem — defining standards, architecting scalable solutions, and delivering integrations that enable smooth daily operations.
You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Operations, and Clinical teams to translate complex requirements into secure, maintainable, and high-performing capabilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee daily Salesforce operations, including user access and permissions, data model updates, automation flows, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Translate cross-functional requirements into impactful features that improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce APIs.
  • Architect and deploy integrations with third-party systems via REST/SOAP, middleware, and custom-built interfaces.
  • Identify, refactor, and minimize technical debt while ensuring performance, security, and scalability best practices.
  • Improve the developer experience through better SFDX/Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, tools, documentation, and internal processes.
  • Mentor and support junior developers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
  • Take part in Agile ceremonies (planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) and contribute to long-term Salesforce roadmap planning.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Salesforce releases and best practices, suggesting improvements to both platform and process.

What You Should Have

  • 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience using Apex, LWC, and Salesforce platform APIs.
  • Proven ability to architect scalable and maintainable solutions in complex Salesforce environments.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, security architecture, and declarative automation (Flows, Process Builder, etc.).
  • Experience delivering robust integrations via REST/SOAP, middleware, or custom APIs.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce DX, Git, and CI/CD practices.
  • Ability to lead technical design sessions, perform code reviews, and maintain engineering best practices.
  • Demonstrated success in mentoring developers and elevating overall technical quality.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and backlog management.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II certification (or equivalent experience). Additional certifications (Admin, Architect, etc.) are a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience developing secure healthcare platforms and EHR integrations.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, SOC 2, or other compliance-driven environments.
  • Background in startups or fast-paced delivery environments with strong ownership and autonomy.
