Data Architect / Senior Data Engineer

Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect / Senior Data Engineer to design, optimize, and scale our data infrastructure. You will own the architecture of our data platforms, ensuring reliable pipelines, strong governance, and efficient analytics. This is a senior role with direct impact on business-critical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data models and ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured data.
• Build and optimize streaming pipelines using Kafka integrated with Redshift and S3.
• Optimize storage, partitioning, indexing, and query performance in Amazon Redshift.
• Define and enforce data architecture standards, governance, lineage, and quality frameworks.
• Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of the data infrastructure.
• Partner with BI, Data Science, and Engineering teams to align on requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Work closely with the CTO to align architecture with overall technology strategy.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering and architecture.
• Strong expertise in Amazon Redshift, S3, and Airflow.
• Proven experience with Kafka (event-driven systems, streaming pipelines).
• Deep understanding of data modeling, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, lineage, and quality frameworks.
• Experience in mentoring or leading engineers.
• Intermediate English level.
