Data Engineer with GCP

We are seeking a Senior GCP Data Engineer Expert to lead a large-scale SAP BW to BigQuery migration project for a prominent client in the manufacturing industry within the DACH region. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a cutting-edge cloud migration initiative and make a real impact by shaping the future of data architecture.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and implement efficient, scalable data models and pipelines in BigQuery, following best practices for cloud environments.
• Migrate existing data structures and business logic from SAP BW to BigQuery.
• Build scalable and maintainable data transformation layers using Dataform and SQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business requirements and ensure high data quality.
• Continuously optimize performance and drive cost efficiency for all GCP-based data processes.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery and Dataform.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud-based data processing.
• Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience with cloud migration projects.
• SAP BW background or experience with SAP data migrations – a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with the manufacturing industry or the DACH market is a plus.
