Senior React Developer

Our client is a US-based B2B FinTech startup transforming how small businesses across Africa manage operations and access credit. With operations in several African countries, their mission is to empower SMEs and financial institutions through scalable, tech-forward solutions.

We are looking for an experienced Front-end Developer with deep expertise in React to join our cross-functional product team. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable, high-quality SPAs using React.
• Build reusable UI components aligned with design and UX requirements.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers (Java/ Spring Boot) to integrate APIs.
• Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and cross-device compatibility.
• Write clean, testable code following modern best practices (TypeScript, testing).
• Participate in code reviews, architectural decisions, and technical discussions.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in web development with React.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with common React libraries and tools (e.g., React Router, Redux/Zustand, SWR/React Query).
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and client-server communication.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience writing unit/integration tests (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
• Experience working in Agile teams and remote environments.
• Strong communication skills in English.
