Backend Engineer Transition to SRE (Web)

We are looking for backend engineers who are ready to take the next step in their careers and grow into a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role.
If you have hands-on experience with our stack (Kubernetes, AWS, observability tools) and want to expand your impact by building reliable, observable systems — this opportunity is for you.
 

Your Impact

• Design, maintain, and improve observability systems (alerts, dashboards, service discovery, metrics pipelines);
• Troubleshoot monitoring issues such as missing data, false alerts, or broken dashboards;
• Define and manage SLIs, SLOs, and alerting strategies for proactive incident detection and response;
• Automate observability infrastructure using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes Operators (IaC best practices);
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, ArgoCD) and integrate observability into deployment workflows;
• Help product teams adopt proactive incident prevention strategies;
• Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, and Security to align observability with reliability, performance, and compliance goals.
   

About You

• Background in backend engineering (required);
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Cloud, Sentry, New Relic);
• Strong Kubernetes & Docker knowledge with production deployment experience;
• Automation skills with Shell / Python / Node.js, plus IaC tools (Terraform, Helm);
• Solid AWS knowledge + core networking concepts (DNS, ports, protocols);
• Proficiency with Git and modern version control workflows;
• Strong debugging skills using logs, metrics, traces, alerting logic, dashboards;
• Clear and calm communication during incidents and cross-team collaboration.
   

Nice to Have

• Practical understanding of SLIs/SLOs and alerting strategies (e.g., Alertmanager);
• CI/CD pipeline optimization (GitHub Actions);
• Previous experience in software development or a strong coding background (perfect if you’re coming from backend).
