About the role

We’re not just hiring - we’re building the core DNA of Balancify. 

As our first talent hire, you’ll be the face candidates meet before anyone else, and the one who sets the tone for everything that follows. You’ll help us scout and close exceptional people - across product, tech, and beyond - and design hiring journeys that move fast, feel personal, and reflect what we actually value, not just what we say we do.

What we expect from you:

 

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for technical and non-technical roles: sourcing, screening, coordinating, and closing
  • Craft bespoke outbound strategies tailored to high-caliber candidates
  • Deliver fast, thoughtful, and candidate-centric experiences-balancing speed with intentionality.
  • Run structured, signal-rich interviews and guide interviewers through calibration and debriefs
  • Go beyond task execution - help architect recruiting processes, systems, and tooling to scale with the company, not just run reqs.

 

About you

 

  • You’ve recruited for deeply technical roles before (backend, infra, systems, protocol)
  • You know how to write cold outreach that turns into warm conversations - and ultimately, hot candidates.
  • You’re comfortable assessing resumes, probing for signal, and escalating red flags early
  • You care about creating a great candidate experience but hold the bar high and never let it slip for the sake of convenience.
  • You’re motivated by impact: you want to help define the DNA of an engineering org at the frontier


Bonus points
 

  • You’ve built recruiting engines from zero at early-stage startups and know what 0→1 hiring feels like.
  • You’re fluent in Web3 or technically proficient enough to get up to speed quickly.
  • You’ve helped run interview training, refine rubrics, or improve how feedback and debriefs are handled.
