Replit developer

We’re looking for an experienced Replit Developer to take over an existing project that was originally built using Replit’s AI Agent. Since the project was AI-generated, expect unusual structures, incomplete logic, and a need for deep debugging and refactoring.

Responsibilities

– Review the existing Replit codebase and identify gaps, bugs, or inconsistencies

– Refactor and optimize AI-generated code for stability, scalability, and maintainability

– Finalize missing features and polish the project to production readiness

– Integrate with APIs, databases, and third-party services as required

– Document the system for future maintainers

Required Skills

– Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js (core stack in Replit projects)

– Solid understanding of React and modern frontend workflows

– Backend experience with APIs and databases (Supabase, PostgreSQL, or Firebase)

– Familiarity with the Replit environment: Nix packages, secrets management, deployments

– Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

– Ability to work independently with minimal guidance

Nice to Have

– Experience with other AI-generated projects (Lovable, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.)

– Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and migrating apps out of Replit if needed

– Contributions to Replit templates, bounties, or community projects
