Retention Data Analyst

We’re looking for a Marketing Data Analyst with strong technical skills and business sharpness to deepen our understanding of customer behavior and drive personalized engagement at scale. This role will focus on retention analytics, segmentation, cohort analysis, and channel preference, while also supporting product initiatives in website analytics and funnel optimization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the retention team to design and optimize segmentation frameworks (lifecycle cohorts, behavioral clusters, channel preferences) that enable highly personalized communications.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on purchase frequency, churn risk, repeat rate, and LTV drivers to identify opportunities for tailored offers and messaging.
- Collaborate with product teams on funnel, website, and user-flow analysis; design and evaluate A/B tests to improve conversion and retention.
- Build and monitor ETLs and data pipelines from multiple sources; work closely with data engineers to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop dashboards and reporting to measure campaign impact, product experiments, and ongoing retention KPIs.
- Provide actionable insights to leadership, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
- Support cross-functional projects with product, tech, and marketing teams.
Perform ad hoc analyses and proactively surface opportunities to optimize growth initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
- MUST: B2+ level of English proficiency (company’s working language).
- Strong SQL skills; experience querying data warehouses and analyzing large datasets.
- Experience with customer cohorts, retention KPIs, and lifecycle marketing.
- Familiarity with Python, R, or similar languages for analysis or automation (a plus).
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in a quantitative field (Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, etc.).
- 1+ years of experience as a Data or Business Analyst (e-commerce preferred).
Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, PowerBI, Tableau); portfolio links welcome.
