Senior AI-First Full-Stack Engineer
At Mindojo, we’re developing advanced ed-tech platforms, used by market-leading test-prep courses such as Bloomberg Exam Prep as well as language learning apps for children.
On our platform, students engage in a rich, personalized dialogue with our AI private tutor, far surpassing the efficacy of existing resources like textbooks, video or classroom lectures, and various e-learning products.
As a Senior AI-First Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll design lean development pipelines where AI agents assist in building, testing, and releasing product features. You’ll act as both architect and quality gatekeeper—owning solutions from idea to deployment, ensuring every learner-facing feature meets Mindojo’s high bar for reliability and impact.
Note: This role is not about developing new AI models—it’s about leveraging existing AI tools (LLM frameworks, agent orchestration, AI-augmented coding workflows) to engineer better products, faster.
Our culture
We move fast, prioritising the highest-impact work and discarding anything that does not advance learner outcomes. We operate with wide autonomy and a can-do attitude: if you spot a problem, you fix it. Transparency in plans and results, coupled with personal responsibility for quality and security, underpins every decision.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable track record of applying LLM-based tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot, Windsurf, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI or equivalent) in real-world development workflows.
- Deep software architecture and development experience across the full stack, with expert knowledge in Python, JavaScript.
- Ability to audit AI-produced code for hidden dependencies, insecure patterns and concurrency edge cases.
- Cloud infrastructure management experience along with server administration skills.
- Comfortable leading features through discovery, implementation, testing, deployment and monitoring.
- Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional autodidacticism.
- Excellent organizational skills and a proactive attitude are essential.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
Bonus points for:
- Start-up experience.
- Portfolio demonstration – a brief README, blog post or video walkthrough showing an AI-agent workflow you built and the impact it delivered.
Operations expectations:
- Availability – be responsive in Slack during core hours (UTC+3 overlap)—we value fast unblockers, not constant pings, and respect deep-focus time.
- Planning transparency – publish a daily plan in the calendar and an end-of-day progress update.
- Delivery rhythm – break work into tasks that close or deploy at least weekly.
- Incident participation – collaborate in real-time when production issues affect learners.
What you will be doing:
- Architect and maintain agent pipelines (planning → coding → test/validation).
- Review AI-generated pull requests for security, performance and edge-case correctness; no tolerance for bad code or slow, error-prone deployments.
- Automate repetitive engineering and operational tasks as soon as they are recognised.
- Own solutions end-to-end—from design through deployment to monitoring—without hand-holding or bottlenecks.
- Run focused experiments to validate product ideas and workflow improvements.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to new challenges across various tasks.
What you won’t deal with:
- Endless ticket grooming, rigid specs, or waterfall hand-offs.
- Bureaucratic status meetings or drawn-out manual deployments.
What we offer:
- Competitive compensation package.
- Stock option plan.
- Challenging and interesting projects.
- Flexible work schedule and the ability to work from anywhere.
- A real chance to play a key part in revolutionizing education worldwide.
