One of our founders also previously co-founded a highly successful Eastern European neobank with a multi-million customer base.
We launched our first market with Leobank in Azerbaijan in 2021, where we’ve already taken a leading market position. Our next market was Vietnam, where we launched Liobank in early 2023 and have also reached strong traction. We have several more markets on the roadmap in the next 12 months and are starting to build out teams there.

Your Role

Due to our expanding infrastructure and products, we’re looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to design, maintain, and evolve resilient, secure, and scalable data storage systems.
You’ll collaborate closely with Development, DevOps, and InfoSec teams to ensure the stability and performance of mission-critical databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop fault-tolerant database solutions based on PostgreSQL and MongoDB (Redis optionally)
• Optimize performance: query tuning, indexing, partitioning
• Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies
• Participate in data architecture design and schema planning
• Set up monitoring and logging (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
• Ensure compliance with security standards (PCI DSS — would be a huge plus)
• Automate routine DB operations with basic Python/Bash scripts
• Participate in incident investigations and post-mortems
• Collaborate with engineers on schema design, migrations, and access control

RequirementsMust-Have

• 5+ years of experience administering relational and NoSQL databases
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Experience with Redis (optional but desirable)
• Solid understanding of replication, tuning, and performance optimization
• Ability to design and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery setups
• Basic scripting in Python or Bash for automation

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with AWS (RDS, Aurora, monitoring, IAM)
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience with ClickHouse
• Exposure to PCI DSS, SOX, or GDPR compliance projects
• Understanding of Kubernetes and containerized environments
• Background in fintech or high-load systems
