mid-senior Python Engineer

Assisterr is a decentralized platform that simplifies the creation, maintenance, and support of community-owned Small Language Models (SLMs).

What You’ll Do:

• develop the infrastructure behind our core product: AI Lab — a no-code constructor for Small Language Models
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems using Python and FastAPI
• Develop and maintain ergonomic, open-source SDKs that creators will love
• Craft sample applications that showcase the power and ease-of-use of our platform
• Engage directly with creators to gather feedback and iteratively improve our APIs and SDKs
• Debug complex full-stack issues to ensure rock-solid stability, reliability, and security

• Participate in code reviews and help maintain our high standards of code quality

   

What We’re Looking For:

• 5 years of experience in backend software development, with a strong focus on Python
• Ability to decompose business needs or user feedback into actionable executable plan is a great +
• Mastery of Python and its ecosystem (FastAPI, Pydantic, asyncio, etc.)
• Experience with MongoDB and Redis for high-performance data storage and caching
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices
• Experience with Data/AI pipeline orchestrators.
• Familiarity with AI/ML libraries

• Experience with Vector Databases is a big +
