About the Product

We are building and scaling a fast-growing online education platform that provides students with interactive revision tools, question banks, video resources, and assessment features. The platform also includes an integrated e-commerce component for selling digital and physical learning resources.

Role Overview

We are seeking a WordPress Developer to lead the ongoing development of the platform. This role involves designing and maintaining scalable architecture, building custom functionality, and ensuring high performance, security, and reliability across the site. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and content specialists to deliver impactful features to thousands of learners.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of new features and improvements on WordPress platform.
• Design and maintain scalable architecture.
• Build custom plugins and themes as needed.
• Optimize website performance, security, and reliability.
• Ensure seamless integration with e-commerce and learning tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PMs, designers, content specialists).
• Participate in daily stand-ups and agile workflows.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional WordPress development experience.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL.
• Proven experience with custom plugin and theme development.
• Knowledge of WooCommerce and e-commerce integrations.
• Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Understanding of website optimization, caching, and security best practices.
• Familiarity with version control (Git).
• English level: B2 or higher (spoken and written).

Nice to have

• Experience with online learning platforms (LMS).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, AWS).
