Middle Backend (Python, FastAPI, Django) Developer

About the Project

Our client is an international SaaS platform in the field of email marketing, specializing in delivering high-volume transactional and marketing emails with a deliverability rate of 96%+ into inboxes.

The service combines:

• SMTP relay and API for automated campaigns
• Dedicated IP addresses
• Integrated drag-and-drop & HTML editor
• Advanced campaign analytics

The product is actively used by companies across EU and the US, supporting hundreds of thousands to millions of emails monthly. It is known for its stability, scalability, and 24/7 technical support team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and extend backend services and API components in Python (FastAPI/Django)
• Maintain and optimize existing services (performance tuning, bug fixing)
• Estimate tasks and break down complexity into sprint deliverables
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate closely with the product and engineering teams

Requirements

• 2+ years of commercial experience with Python
• Hands-on experience with Django and FastAPI (production endpoints)
• Proficiency in AsyncIO and Celery
• Strong knowledge of SQL & NoSQL databases (schema design, optimized queries)
• Experience with Docker and basic DevOps approaches to service containerization
• Solid understanding of HTTP and REST principles
• Experience in Linux/Unix environments (shell scripts, utilities)
• Ability to cover code with unit and integration tests
