Axis builds B2B software for slot/game aggregation—high-throughput APIs, reliable studio integrations, and clean back-office dashboards. We move fast, keep things pragmatic, and collaborate primarily via Telegram/Slack.

The role

You’ll be a hands-on Tech Lead reporting directly to the CTO. You’ll own core architecture, guide a small team, and ship platform services that partners rely on. Expect a blend of technical leadership (roadmaps, reviews, mentoring) and building (designing systems, writing code, unblocking releases).

What you’ll do

• Set and evolve the technical architecture for our aggregator platform and internal tools.
• Lead delivery: sprint planning, code reviews, CI/CD, reliability/incident response.
• Drive API integrations with studios/providers (OpenAPI/RGS), ensuring idempotency, observability, and fault tolerance.
• Raise our platform bar: security, logging, metrics/alerts, cost controls.
• Partner with product on scope/roadmaps; ship iterative, testable releases.

• Mentor engineers and collaborate with the CTO on hiring and team growth.

   

What you bring

• 6+ years in software engineering, incl. 2+ in a lead/staff role.
• Strength in TypeScript/Node.js (NestJS/Express) or Go; solid PostgreSQL, Redis.
• Event-driven systems & queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ/SQS); Docker/Kubernetes; AWS or GCP; IaC (Terraform) is a plus.
• Proven track record building high-throughput APIs with great observability (OpenTelemetry/Prometheus/Grafana).
• Pragmatic testing (contract/load/canary) and strong incident management.
• Clear written communication; comfortable with async collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with game/slot provider integrations (RGS, wallets, rounds, reconciliation).
• Data/analytics pipelines (dbt/BigQuery/Snowflake) and BI for partner reporting.
• Security foundations (OWASP, secrets/key rotation) and compliance-friendly practices.
• Frontend chops (React/Next.js) for ops consoles and partner dashboards.
