Description

Our client is focused on developing a robust and versatile data ingestion pipeline and associated schema designed to efficiently and accurately collect, process, analyze, and manage diverse data types from various sources in real-time or near real-time. This pipeline will automate and enhance data workflows, ensure data quality, and support advanced analytical capabilities including NLP, Face Recognition, and OCR.

As a Middle QA Engineer on the project, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of the client platform. You will be responsible for developing test plans and cases, performing various levels of testing, and collaborating with development and DevOps teams to deliver a high-quality solution.

Requirements

Skills & Competencies:

• Good knowledge and practical experience in testing;
• Good understanding of the entire software development life cycle;
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for the platform, covering all components and functionalities (Web UI, API, ETL pipelines, data connectors, analysis pipelines, schemas, etc.).
• Good knowledge and experience working with Databases (MySQL/Oracle/SQL Server…);
• Basic knowledge in GIT, Jenkins;
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP) is a plus;
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum/Kanban is a plus;
• Perform various levels of testing, including unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing;
• Test the implementation of static data seed for deployments, including standard reference datasets.
• Ensure enhanced handling of large text documents, video, and audio data, verifying full-text indexing, duration analysis, format identification, and metadata extraction;
• Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with the development team for resolution;
• Collaborate with the Development Team, Architect, and Project Manager to understand requirements and ensure testability of features.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Solid experience as a QA Engineer, preferably in a project involving complex data pipelines, large-scale data processing, or web applications.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with designing and executing test plans and test cases.
• Proficiency in testing web applications (UI and API).
• Experience with database testing, particularly PostgreSQL, and ability to write SQL queries.
• Familiarity with data formats like JSON, CSV, XML, and understanding of data structures.
• Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment.
