Front-End Developer (Legacy Project)
About the Project
We are starting a long-term collaboration with a client on a full-time front-end role.
This is a legacy project with a large existing codebase written without modern frameworks - no React, no Next.js.
The front-end is based on HTML, CSS (possibly SASS), and vanilla JavaScript.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Working with an existing legacy codebase.
- Implementing new features and maintaining existing ones.
- Ensuring pixel-perfect implementation according to provided designs.
- Optimizing and refactoring existing front-end code when necessary.
- Collaborating with other developers through Git-based workflows.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in front-end development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience working with legacy codebases and ability to navigate complex structures.
- Proficiency with Git: branching, merging, resolving conflicts, and contributing via pull requests.
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver pixel-perfect layouts.
- Good understanding of cross-browser compatibility and responsive design.
- Upper-intermediate English or Ukrainian for communication with the team.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SASS/SCSS.
- Basic knowledge of build tools (Webpack, Gulp, etc.).
- Understanding of UI/UX best practices.
