Senior PHP Developer

FAVBET Tech develops software that is used by millions of players around the world for the international company FAVBET Entertainment.
We develop innovations in the field of gambling and betting through a complex multi-component platform which is capable to withstand enormous loads and provide a unique experience for players.
FAVBET Tech does not organize and conduct gambling on its platform. Its main focus is software development.

Main areas of work:

• Betting/Gambling Platform Software Development — software development that is easy to use and personalized for each customer.
• Highload Development — development of highly loaded services and systems.
• CRM System Development — development of a number of services to ensure a high level of customer service, effective engagement of new customers and retention of existing ones.
• Big Data — development of complex systems for processing and analysis of big data.
• Cloud Services — we use cloud technologies for scaling and business efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Develop efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules.
• Solve complex performance and architectural challenges.
• Actively participate in QA activities: code reviews, unit testing, defect fixing.
• Work within modern Agile methodologies (TDD, Scrum).
• Use tools such as Git, JIRA, Composer, GitLab CI/CD, Docker.
• Take ownership of tasks related to maintaining and improving service performance under high load.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in developing production applications using PHP and PostgreSQL.
• Strong experience with PHP MVC frameworks (Laravel, Symfony).
• Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system.
• Experience with web service integration (XML, SOAP, REST).
• Excellent relational database skills with PostgreSQL, including query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with building RESTful JSON web services.
• Ability to write clean, well-structured, object-oriented PHP code following industry best practices.
• Solid understanding of architectural principles behind scalable applications.
• Experience designing applications and database structures for performance and scalability.
• Ability to work independently and manage full development projects from start to finish.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with other developers and project managers on technical challenges.
