We are now expanding our digital footprint and seeking a Senior WordPress Developer to lead the creation of high-performance, scalable WordPress experiences.

Position Overview

As a Senior WordPress Developer at PRAI, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining custom WordPress websites, plugins, and themes that serve as the foundation for our digital presence. You will collaborate with our marketing, AI, and product teams to ensure our platforms are fast, secure, visually impactful, and capable of integrating with AI-driven content and analytics systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Custom Development: Design and develop custom WordPress themes, plugins, and functionality aligned with PRAI’s brand and mission.
• AI Integration: Implement and maintain features that integrate PRAI’s AI tools and APIs directly into the WordPress ecosystem.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure all websites meet enterprise-level standards for speed, scalability, and SEO.
• Security & Maintenance: Implement best practices for WordPress security, regularly update core and dependencies, and ensure site reliability.
• Integration: Connect WordPress with CRM systems, analytics platforms, and marketing automation tools.
• Collaboration: Work with design, AI, and content teams to create dynamic, responsive, and interactive pages.
• Deployment & Version Control: Oversee staging/production deployments and maintain Git-based workflows.
• Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnose and resolve issues in both live and staging environments.

Requirements

• Experience: 4+ years in professional WordPress development with experience in large-scale, high-traffic projects.
• Technical Skills:
  • Expert in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), MySQL.
  • Deep knowledge of WordPress hooks, filters, WP_Query, REST API, and custom post types.
  • Proficiency with Gutenberg blocks, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), and WooCommerce.
  • Strong Git/version control expertise.
• Best Practices: Solid understanding of security, performance optimization, and SEO.
• Communication: Excellent collaboration skills for working with multi-disciplinary teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with headless WordPress and frameworks like Next.js or React.
• Familiarity with server administration (Linux, Nginx/Apache) and cloud hosting.
• Experience integrating AI-based features into WordPress.
• Open-source contributions to WordPress Core or plugins.
