3D Environment Artist

Midnight Works is hiring a 3D Environment Designer. 
 

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and creating game environments: Developing concepts and designing game levels, including diverse worlds, landscapes, cities, buildings, and other environmental elements.
  • Creating/Editing 3D models and textures: Using software to create 3D models and textures for environment objects, landscapes, architecture, vegetation, and other elements.
  • Research and conceptual thinking: Analyzing project requirements, researching styles, architectural forms, and visual concepts to develop unique environments.
  • Optimizing performance and quality: Creating models and textures with consideration for optimization across different gaming platforms, ensuring high visual quality with optimal performance.
  • Collaboration with team members: Working closely with level designers, artists, animators, and other specialists to create cohesive game worlds.
     

Requirements:

  • Experience in the gaming industry or a related field.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Maya, 3ds Max, Blender) and texturing tools (e.g., Substance Painter, Photoshop).
  • Understanding of environment design principles, composition, lighting, and color.
  • Skills in optimizing models and textures for game engines.
  • Creative thinking, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Experience working in Unity 3D.
