Position Overview
We are building our own in-house product โ€” a next-generation Sales Automation Tool with advanced GPT-powered intelligence.

As a Lead Back-end Engineer, you will be the primary backend stakeholder, owning architecture and backend infrastructure from the ground up.

You will make key technical decisions, work closely with the product team, and have the opportunity to grow into a CTO role as the product scales.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement backend infrastructure from scratch
  • Develop Account Connection, Proxy Management and Safe Scheduler modules
  • Implement secure session and cookie storage
  • Integrate and support the GPT-powered intelligence for message drafting, inbox management, and automated responses
  • Design and maintain scalable APIs for frontend and integrations
  • Ensure system performance, scalability, and security compliance for high-load automation
  • Set up DevOps pipelines: CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, logging, alerting
  • Conduct code reviews, share knowledge, and mentor other developers

Requirements โ€“ Must-have

  • 4+ years of commercial backend development experience with Node.js
  • 1+ years in an architect or tech lead role
  • Proven experience building high-load distributed systems with horizontal scaling
  • Strong knowledge of architectural patterns: event-driven, microservices, worker queues, API gateway
  • API integration experience and REST API design
  • DevOps skills
  • Hands-on with PostgreSQL and Redis (queues, caching, rate limiting) or equivalent tech
  • Understanding of secure coding practices
  • Leadership skills and readiness to take full responsibility for backend

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with proxy systems (residential/mobile), sticky IP, geo/TZ matching, leak protection
  • Experience with Puppeteer/Playwright or other browser automation tools
  • Understanding of anti-detect techniques in web automation
  • Experience building worker-scaling systems (AWS SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  • Monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana) and logging (ELK) setup

What We Offer

  • In-house product โ€” no outsourcing, you shape the future of our own platform
  • Full ownership of backend architecture and the ability to influence core product decisions
  • Build a system from zero to global scale with massive real-world usage
  • Freedom to choose the tech stack and architecture (with justification)
  • Career growth towards CTO as the team expands
  • Flexible working hours and remote-first culture
  • Minimal bureaucracy, fast decision-making
