Senior Data-Oriented Backend Engineer
Location: Ukraine, Kyiv (Hybrid)
Employment: Full-time

We’re looking for a Data Back-End Engineer eager to work with big data, microservices, and large-scale production environments. You will join a team building an industry-leading audience segmentation solution, helping major global brands improve their user acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies.

What you’ll do:

• Solve complex, large-scale problems.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Engineers to deliver innovative products.
• Own features end-to-end, from concept to production.
• Analyze and improve performance, scalability, and stability.
• Research and adopt new technologies to meet ever-growing data challenges.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial development experience.
• Experience in Data Engineering with a focus on Apache Spark.
• Strong server-side engineering skills.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Node.js, Scala, Go.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Proactive and eager to learn.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Airflow.
• Familiarity with AWS services (SQS, EMR, RDS, S3).
