About the Role:
We are looking for a Billing Manager with hands-on experience in payment systems and billing optimization. Your primary mission will be to improve payment approval rates and ensure a smooth and scalable billing infrastructure across our projects.
This is a part-time opportunity for someone with strong analytical thinking, technical expertise in payment flows, and experience working with international payment systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize integrations with payment providers (e.g., Solidgate, Stripe, or similar).
- Improve approval rates, rebill success, and decline recovery.
- Customize billing logic for different countries/regions and optimize retry rules.
- Monitor and reduce risk metrics: fraud rate, chargebacks, blacklist triggers, etc.
- Collaborate with product, finance, customer support, and risk teams to resolve billing issues.
- Monitor performance via dashboards (Looker / Tableau / or similar BI tools).
- Analyze and uplift billing KPIs: LTV, churn, ARPU, velocity rules.
- Implement and test new billing strategies to improve revenue flow.
- Support regular billing audits and ensure compliance with financial policies.
- Stay current on industry regulations (PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.) and fraud prevention trends.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Billing Manager, Payment Specialist, or similar role in SaaS, e-commerce, or mobile/web platforms.
- Deep understanding of payment ecosystems: banks, gateways, multi-currency processing, regional regulations.
- Experience with retry logic, rebill flows, and decline recovery techniques.
- Strong analytical mindset and experience working with metrics like approval rate, churn, and fraud ratio.
- Comfortable working across time zones and teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with Looker, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
